چکیده

Pepper (Capsicum spp.) is an important vegetable crop worldwide with high economic and nutritional value. The Capsicum genus comprises more than 30 species, of which C. annuum, chinense, baccatum, frutescens, pubescens are the five domesticated ones. Anthracnose fruit rot, caused by Colletotrichum spp., one most destructive fungal diseases pepper. In this review, we compiled up-to-date information from 40 publications on anthracnose resistance in species. total, 375 accessions were described as showing different levels against spp. These belonged to including annuum (160), baccatum (86), chacoense (4), chinense (90), frutescens (16), well 19 species not reported. High mainly present chinense. For some resistant accessions, genes or quantitative trait loci (QTL) Using associated molecular markers, located 31 QTLs 17 resistance-related recently published genomes, CM334 version 1.6, 1.2, 1.2. Our results could be helpful for making use reported breeding pepper cultivars rot disease.

Field screening of safflower genotypes for resistance to charcoal rot disease

Nineteen safflower genotypes (Carthamus tinctorius L.) that originated from different geographical regions were screening for their response to infection with Macrophomina phaseolina, the charcoal rot pathogen at the research farm of Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Gorgan, Iran, in 2005. The plants were evaluated for length and width of necrotic lesion at the e...

Differential resistances to anthracnose in Capsicum baccatum as responding to two Colletotrichum pathotypes and inoculation methods

Chili anthracnose, caused by Colletotrichum spp., is one of the major diseases to chili production in the tropics and subtropics worldwide. Breeding for durable anthracnose resistance requires a good understanding of the resistance mechanisms to different pathotypes and inoculation methods. This study aimed to investigate the inheritances of differential resistances as responding to two differe...

Heterologous Expression of the Secale cereal Thaumatin-Like Protein in Transgenic Canola Plants Enhances Resistance to Stem Rot Disease

Canola (Brassica napus L.) is an important oilseed crop. A serious problem in cultivation of this crop andyield loss, are due to fungal disease stem rot caused by Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. The pathogenesis-related(PR) proteins have the potential for enhancing resistance against fungal pathogen. Thaumatin-like proteins(TLPs) have been shown to have antifungal activity on variou...

RAPD based DNA markers linked to anthracnose disease resistance in Sorghum bicolor ( L.) Moench.

Anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum graminicola is one of the major diseases of sorghum. The locus for disease resistance in sorghum [Sorghum biocolor (L.) Moench] accession G73 was found to segregate as a simple recessive trait in a cross to susceptible cultivar HC136. In order to identify molecular markers linked to the locus for disease resistance, random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) an...

resistance assessment of different sunflowers varieties to charcoal rot disease in golestan province

charcoal rot, caused by macrophomina phaseolina, is one of the most important diseases of sunflower in golestan province. host resistance may be the only feasible method to manage this disease. accordingly, the resistance of 18 varieties of common recommendations for the region in the form of a randomized complete block design (rcbd) against isolates of m. phaseolina was assessed. statistical a...
